Frederick Horsman Varley, also known as Fred Varley (January 2, 1881 – September 8, 1969), was born in Sheffield, England and a founding member of the Group Of Seven. After living in Ontario for a number of years, Varley moved to Vancouver, BC in 1926. He died in Toronto in 1969 and is buried on the grounds of the of the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg, Ontario, along with six other Group of Seven members.
